In our latest “Meet the Team” update, we’ll be saying hello to our Director, Tommy Hodgson, who’s been running Eggar Forrester Insurance since 2014. Having previously worked in senior positions at Marsh and AJ Gallagher & Co before joining us, he has many years of valuable experience.
Tommy plays a major role in the day-to-day running of the business, managing the team and reporting to the board of directors. On top of these important duties, he still makes time to work directly with clients and plays an active role in trading.
Outside of work, you can usually find Tommy spending time with his wife and two young children. He’s also a massive sports fan, staying active with football, cricket, and regular tennis sessions.
Tommy even makes his own music and released his first EP in 2021. Playing at Glastonbury is on the top of his bucket list, but he might have a way to go first!

Favourite movie? Definitely Goodfellas. I love a mafia movie and this one is easily the best.
Favourite holiday destination? Probably Menorca, as it’s a very beautiful place and has heaps of fond memories for me.
If I had a superpower, it would be… The power of flight – not only would it be pretty exhilarating, but you’d definitely save a few quid on petrol too!
Which three people would you invite to your fantasy dinner party? Shane Warne, Freddie Mercury, and Ricky Gervais.
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see? Probably Woodstock in the summer of ’69. That’d be pretty memorable!
What’s your favourite joke? What did the zero say to the eight? Nice belt!
