Sometimes we let our brokers out of the office to go and mingle with the outside world! This month Senior Account Exec, Kris and Hannah, our fantastic Account handler paid a visit the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane to investigate the very latest in Event Tech.
Event Tech Live is Europe’s first dedicated exhibition and conference for event professionals with an interest in technology. Now in its third year, the show delivers creative live technology demos, immersive educational content, and expert Q&A sessions in an exciting and unique format.
“Event Tech Live is quite simply the only place to go if you’re looking for new technology to support your events. It’s grown fast over the last few years and is a ‘one-stop-shop’ for your digital event requirements. As part of Slido, we always exhibit there; it just makes sense and we had a huge amount of leads last year. The content is great, covering all aspects of events and types of events but I especially love the launchpad stage where you get to hear from the newest start-ups that are really disrupting our industry. Can’t recommend it enough.”

Registration is already open for next year, we will certainly be back to keep up with all the latest innovations in event tech. For now, here is our round-up of our favourites from #ETL2019
Noonah connects brands and people through photography. They develop photographic technology for events, experiences, and entertainment, encouraging consumers and guests to interact with brands. This creates an online buzz and that all-important bond between consumer & brand – with the emphasis on fun! They launched their Virtual Selfies at Event Tech Live 2019 which allows consumers to have a selfie with a celebrity by immersing them in an augmented experience! We also loved their GIF Booth. GIFs are a huge trend right now and have a 40x higher chance of being shared, it’s a really fun way to create an impact. “With the opportunity to take several photos, watch as your audience gets inventive with their poses within your themed GIF. Our systems inside the booths quickly stitch images together to create GIFs, in a format of your choosing. Before consumers receive their GIFs, your branding is added to the foreground of the output which can then immediately be shared to social.”
Spelfie is the first selfie app of its kind, using satellite imagery to capture your event moment from space! The people behind Spelife have a great ethos behind their product:
“spelfie is a movement of people who want to change the world and make a difference. The power of a spelfie can help raise awareness globally, encouraging others to join in and want to make a difference too. spelfie can change the world with events that focus on making the world a better place, we like to call these ‘eco-events’. Through the power of social media you can be part of spelfie’s huge social movement.”
What’s more spelfie is completely free to users. Another great tool for interacting with brands and building relationships with consumers.
One World Rental supply their clients and partners with the latest cutting-edge hardware devices and software solutions, and they “literally deliver everywhere” with as little as 24 hours’ notice! This includes software, hardware, delivery, installation, Wi-Fi installation, and a technical on-site presence for any size event, anywhere in the world.
“When you call, we’ll listen, understand your unique business requirements, and offer you a fully customized experience. Our existing clients consistently return, and we are growing every year. Our success lies in the cost-effectiveness of our solutions; we provide unbeaten event logistics every time.”
A really clever bit of tech that helps you understand how people are moving around your event or stand, what’s capturing their attention, how long they stay around for, and the routes they take. Their sensors, sometimes referred to as beacons, deliver real-time insights into how visitors interact with an event. Exposure Analytics have developed a simple to understand dashboard which can tell you at a glance the level of interaction around your stand.
“This means you can address any issues swiftly during an event and make data-driven, objective decisions post-event about what worked and what didn’t. You can find the busiest areas and peak periods of footfall at your event or retail space. Replay visitor movements as they happened, in a variety of interactive chart formats.”
An impressive start-up that only launched in January yet has already been nominated for two Event Tech Live Awards! Liveforce is a workforce management tool that eliminates the need for countless spreadsheets and wasted time when it comes to scheduling staff for an event, festival or production. Liveforce started inside an agency, so they understand the pain points of scheduling! The Liveforce tool enables companies to create schedules across multiple projects and manage crew no matter what size of the team. No two agencies work the same way, so Liveforce has been built to be flexible. The dedicated Crew App is designed to give crew autonomy over managing their profiles, setting their availability, and communicating directly with agencies via the app.
